It's kind of beyond me when people complain in their journals, and then get mad at all the people who replied sympathetically to that entry, going on about how they 'don't want their pity'. I mean. Honestly.

What did you expect people to say? "You're overexaggerating." "You'll get over it." "Oh, that's not nearly that bad." I mean... if you have decent people following you, then they'll probably- i don't know- try to be nice? Why post if you don't want responses? Why not write it in an actual, private diary, where no one can see or reply to it?

Sorry for the rant, that doesn't really concern me at all, since I'm neither writer nor commenter. I'm just... completely baffled by the lack of logic some people have.

In other news, I went grocery shopping today. I picked up a face wash and a face scrub from a Japanese brand for about $4 (RMB 27) total. I always feel like I got a ridiculously good deal when I convert things to USD.

Also went for french toast and milk tea with an old friend I happened across, at a Cantonese cafe we found. I looove good ol' obscenely strong Cantonese milk tea. Best stuff ever. Must have if anyone pops by Hong Kong.

Made journals for a couple of muses who I'll be dropping into ultimania_dr : one of them is a SOLDIER!Squall Leonhart (asoldierstorm ) who's a SOLDIER in a crossover with FF7 and Lionheart (notcompensation ) ... Squall's final weapon, yes.

Lastly... I found a remix of Bad Romance that repeats the 'walk, walk, fashion baby..." bit a couple times over, before going "i'm a freak bitch" about a thousand times. It's ridiculously catchy.

I'm midway through catching up with Bleach, reread Seikon no Qwaser, and now I want to go back to where I left off with Soul Eater.

I keep laughing at Bleach's battle scenes. It's really predictable. (ie: The two opponents run at each other, they pass each other and freeze. After a minute of tension, one of them spurts blood and collapses. And the one that didn't spurt blood (or spurted less blood) wins. Oi vey.)

Seikon no Qwaser has always been epic. And twisted. And just mindfuckery. I half-wish that retrieving Soma wasn't quite so explicit, so playing one of those characters in a game wouldn't be so... NC-17. xD Other than that, I ship Mafuyu and Aleksander like burning.

And... I want to catch up with Soul Eater, mostly because I love Soul. Something about his character really gets to me. Gah. I need to finish the series, so I can get a thorough grasp of his voice. It really doesn't help that croix_souillees has an awesome Maka muse. It just makes me more impatient. oAo

Downloaded a bunch of songs from Thumbelina/Swan Princess/Quest for Camelot and reminiscing on a time when I adored those movies. And crushed on the blind guy from Quest for Camelot. Gah.

I've got to be the only person who likes these ridiculously sappy, cheesy Disney movie songs this much. /shame

Well.

I can no longer choose what icons to use for comments/entries/such, which means it's time for some icon revamping. Which is why I wish for a paid account, because seriously... lots of icons = lots of visual love. But then again, why pay for something that isn't material? idk. This is an odd debate in my head.

I'm on a FF8 hiatus, because the Windows side of my partitioned laptop is not co-operating with me much. Meanwhile, I'm blazing my way to finish FF3. While starting FF2. I'm just multitasking my way through lots of turn-based RPG.

Also, I found that while I despise the thought of going to the gym, when I'm actually there, it's not so bad. I always end up finding someway to detach my mind from my body by... listening to music or daydreaming. If I don't detach, it's hell, lolol, and I can only ever pay attention to how out of breath I am and how slowly the seconds of my hour-long run are ticking by. Things always feel better afterward though.

It was my parents' 20th anniversary recently- my mom forgot this time, but my dad didn't. They end up taking turns forgetting, though one of them always remembers. Me and my dad went over to her place, and it was cute and adorkable. I finally got to eat my mom's food again after staying with my dad for so long. Even if I do learn to cook, I doubt it'll ever taste as good as her food. ;A; There's something ridiculously delish about my mom's cooking. Her cookies/cakes/pastries are funny tasting though, because they're all low-fat and not sweet.

Yeah. Quite an interesting couple of days.

A pretty carefree week, though I'm trying to get back into the habit of working out. Holidays make me lazy.

Other than that, I've been hooked on Asobi Seksu ever since Joanne mentioned them in our many deep and meaningful conversations. I definitely recommend looking them up, especially the song Transparence.

Watched Avatar a couple weeks ago, and... well. It's cliche, predictable at times, and it's your typical Nature vs Mankind story. Nonetheless, I loved it. The way the story's told keeps you interested, in spite of everything else.

Lastly, I'm playing FF8 again on the emulator, and... I forgot how much I loved this game. I'm falling in love with all the characters again (though, not so much with Rinoa and Quistis. :< Sorry, girls.), especially Squall and Seifer.

I used to like Quistis. I don't know why Rinoa's never grown on me though. It might be because, it gets a little repetitive with Squall reducing every girl in the game to mush. (Except Selphie. She's immune, because she's after "Love! And peace!")

I'm in my Hong Kong house now. I spent the past two-three weeks here, and it was nice. It reminds me of my grandparents, and I love the shopping and the food here.

Going back to Beijing tomorrow though, to catch a friend who flew in from New York. Hopefully, the weather there will clear up by tomorrow. The snow's pretty damn heavy, and I'm worried I'll get caught in a blizzard or things will get delayed or something. Crossing my fingers, and hoping that doesn't happen.

Every single time I've flown on my own, my flight's been delayed. Once, for five hours. ;A; So crossing my fingers that this won't happen this time around.

On a completely different note which I like to end on...

I've done way too much fic-sifting. And I've found a trend that some fics tend to follow, but I'm a bit at loss at. While I find it believable that some characters would use nicknames (whether for snark or affection), I doubt they'd use it for the entire length of a multi-chaptered fic.

I'm so tired of Riku and Sora calling each other 'Ri' and 'So' and not mentioning their proper names once. And let's not get started on Axel calling Roxas 'Sunshine' and Reno calling Kadaj 'Moonshine'. I mean... seriously.
